Residential House Parent for International School in Tivat
Knightsbridge Schools International Montenegro in Tivat is seeking
“BOARDING” HOUSE PARENT
to care for a small number of boys and girls at our International Boarding (and Day School). Student’s live at the Boarding House during their studies. You will need to take part in all activities and take an active interest in their academic development. You will also take the lead with their pastoral care and ensure that they are happy in the school environment acting as their “parent” at school during the day, night and at weekends. Students are ages 12-18. The role includes 5 working days (nights included) and 2 days off per week (Thursday and Friday).
The successful candidate will:
- Excellent English language
- Have the ability to deliver excellent levels of pastoral care
- Contribute fully to the extra-curricular activities of the school
- Have experience of working in education (do not have to be qualified)
- Be willing to support the ethos of the school
- Demonstrate the enthusiasm, determination and resilience required for working in pastoral care
- Be able to work in a team and support students, parents and staff
- Be able to manage a nurturing environment that encourages honesty and responsibility within the girls’ house
- Have excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Be able to live in the School full-time as their home
- Have no criminal record and be able to provide excellent references
- Be able to prepare breakfast for students for 5 days of the week.
The role of House Parent also includes a furnished 2 bedroom accommodation within the Boarding House, utility bills, meals in term time and a competitive salary.
Spouses are welcome but the position is not appropriate to people with children or pets. Any spouse will have to provide personal references as well as a criminal record background check for the safety of children.
