Delamode Montenegro is part of Delamode International, a group of companies which provide Freight Forwarding and Financial Services solutions to the Logistic market place. We have offices based across mainland Europe and the UK and since Jan 2012 we started to expand our service offerings into the West Balkans Region. As such we are actively looking for experienced staff to assist with the development of our business in Montenegro.

We are seeking now applications for the following role:

Title: Business Unit Manager

Reports to: Managing Director West Balkans

Number and location: 1 located in Podgorica

 


Job purpose:

Plan and carry out direct sales activities and operations covering Montenegro. Develop and maintain sales and operations of Freight Forwarding services and Financial Services range to all prospective clients from the allocated region, in accordance with agreed business plans.

 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Maintain and develop a computerized customer and prospect database.
  • Actively prospect and successfully convert new clients to Delamode
  • Plan and carry out direct marketing activities to agreed budgets, sales volumes, values, product mix and timescales.
  • Develop ideas and create offers for direct mail and marketing to major accounts by main market sector service offerings.
  • Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by post, telephone, and personal visits.
  • Develop and maintain new customers through planned individual account management methodologies
  • Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information to top management.
  • Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys to ensure the optimal service offerings are on offer in the market place.
  • Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organizational development.
  • Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Develop and implement new sales strategies to develop and further grow the business.
  • Keep updated with the latest developments of the economy in general and of the logistics and financial services industries in particular, as well as with the micro-economic situation of the existing clients.

Person profile – Business Unit Manager

The applicant must be self-driven and results-oriented with a positive outlook. They need to have a clear focus on high quality and business profit whilst being a natural forward planner who critically assesses their own performance to strive for business excellence at all times.

The applicant needs to have excellent interpersonal skills both written and orally and should be capable of communicating with all levels of personnel within a business and in particular Senior company executives with regards to sales opportunities.

The applicant needs to be reliable, tolerant, and determined to succeed. They will need to be well presented and have a professional approach to business. Due to the nature of the role the applicant must be sufficiently mobile and flexible with regards to national and some International European travel.

The applicant should ideally have sales or operational experience either within the logistics (Freight Forwarding or transport industry), either within the financial services industry (leasing, banks, fuel cards, insurance). However full training will be given and a proven track record of successful sales will be more of an advantage.

The applicant must have good IT skills and must be adept in use of MS Office applications along with the ability to use the internet proficiently.

The applicant must have a good standard of education preferably to degree level. However applicants with a proven track record of successful sales will be considered. All applicants must have a good understanding of written and oral English language.

Although internal staff management is not initially part of the role, as the business develops there will be opportunities for the applicants to further develop within Delamode and as such people-management skills and experience would be an advantage.

 


Package

The successful applicant will be rewarded with a remuneration package consisting of a basic wage plus a very generous commission package with unlimited earning potential based on the successful development of new clients and new business.

A company car and other business tools such as laptop, smart mobile phone will be provided.
